So here are a few more pictures from the trek along with some pictures of the food we ate at the tea houses. Most of the foods consisted of rice and noodles. They also had pizza at times but the sauce was sometimes ketchup. Not the best... Either way it was nourishing and fueled us. Though the last night on the trail Tony and I had lasangna and it was gross. It had a smoked taste and the beef in mine tasted like a slim jim. Ewww...
OK, so anyways, here are some pictures....
Yee haa!!...and a little "yikes!!" Ryan, you probably look like a 'Slim Jim' now after 50 miles - where did you...Oh never mind. And, OK, we'll try not to stare when you get back!!! Really nice pics, can you identify the sights a little more? We've been waiting a long time!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat food doesn't look too bad; in fact, some of it looks downright edible. Those rickety bridges look like fun! Beautiful pics of the mountains, too.
ReplyDeleteis that last picture of mike and tony? well at least mike got the tan he always wanted not the redish tan we're all use to him in.
ReplyDeleteit sure is long way for all of you to go to play in a pick-up volleyball game [with their own line judge} awesome.
This will be a trip that none of you will ever forget-what great memories you will have. But, I have to admit, I was getting nervous because I hadn't seen any updates for a while. Thank you so much for the amazing pictures-how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Dawn
Thanks for the food pics...looks good. That volleyball court looks like you could break an ankle on the trenches they dug for lines. The scenery looks amazing, I'm sure the photos don't do it justice.
ReplyDeleteWow! The pictures have been absolutely amazing. I imagine seeing it with the naked eye is even more so. It is really too bad you guys dont have someone to actually record this stuff. I know it would be like watching NatGeo or Man VRS Wild or something. Understand, most people won't be able to see things like these till the new System, so thank you for your first hand stories and pictures of how totally amazing Jah's creation really is. I am sure it's making you all feel like reflecting on him even more. PLEASE be safe. Like I always say, "Paranoia Keeps You Safe". Cant wait to have you guys over for dinner, pictures, and experiences! Luv you guys, and keep the pictures and stories coming!

Fantastic!! I've seen some cool places, but nothing quite like this!! What a feast for the eyes, can't wait to see more pictures...
ReplyDeleteGroup de Nepal - Wow!! All of the photos have been cool but the latest batch really shows the altitude and food and more. Nice bridges too!! This is great entertainment. We are enjoying your vacation.
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks like you are on top of the world. The pictures are great. How did it feel walking over those bridges? Please tell us more about the good things you're doing.
ReplyDeleteAll these scenic pictures were all taken on The trail going to the Annapurna Base Camp (aka ABC). The better pictures were at the the base camp. Thats when you were surrounded by mountains with white tops. It made us feel pretty small...
